Try out a paragliding tandem flight in Annecy !

Coming from the same family as parachutes, a paraglider is a flexible fabric wing to which the harness is attached where the pilot and his passenger sit in.

After checking every item on the security list, paragliders take off on a mountainside by… running ! Once you’re comfortably installed in the harness, you discover a true feeling of freedom and fluidly admire the wonderful view of Annecy and its surroundings. Depending on the conditions during the flight, you might come across some thermals – these famous warm and cold air flows that allow the paraglider to go up – and make the flight last longer !

Paragliding, an activity with manageable sensations

A paragliding tandem flight around Annecy is the perfect way to discover the area and try out air sports, even for more anxious people. This type of flight will give you unique sensations without the scary free-fall part like in skydiving. And you can enjoy paragliding by yourself, with friends or family and with children from 4 years old.

For the more daring people, the pilot can spice up the flight with some spirals, wing-overs ( you literally go over the wing) and other acrobatic figures. Ready for some adrenaline shots ?

How does paragliding take place ?

Once arrived at the meeting point, your instructor takes you to the take-off at the Col de la Forclaz. There he will provide you with a harness and helmet for the flight. After a few strides to take off, you will fly back with a tandem paraglider to Doussard.

Upon arrival, you will have the possibility to take the pictures and videos of your flight home.

Don’t forget

  • Clothes adapted to the weather.
  • Sunglasses.
  • Closed shoes.
  • A not too thick jacket (and gloves if it’s cold).
  • All of your good mood !

Special requirements

  • Physical condition needed : the paraglider needs a few strides in order to take off (however paragliding can also be accessible to people with limited mobility).
  • Age limit : no limit.
  • Weight limit : 20kg to 130kg.
  • Medical restrictions : No pregnant women.
  • Activity available from March until November, depending on the weather conditions.

    Merci à Cyril qui m’a fait découvrir pour la 1ère fois un vol en parapente. C’était fabuleux ! Il a été très rassurant et pédagogique durant tout le vol. J’ai eu peur de tomber sur un pilote expéditif qui bâcle la session en moins de 10 min et là, cela a été tout le contraire. J’ai eu la chance de passer en toute fin de journée et comme je me sentais très à l’aise, il a même recherché des courants ascendants afin de prolonger le vol : génial ! Il ne m’a donné qu’une envie : recommencer sur une session plus longue afin de pouvoir faire le tour entier du lac !
